Under the current adverse economic climate, an increasing number of international buyers is finding a creative way to save some bucks purchasing online directly from Chinese wholesalers.

We have used a representative sample of almost 60 China Wholesale sites and looked at their Alexa traffic stats and Google brand search volume during the last 90 days.

According to Alexa, the sites on our list have increased their traffic reach by than 16.1% while Google brand search volume rises by more than 14%.

Interest on China Wholesale rises 16%

Among the selected sites for our research, the largest growth was experienced by wholesalers PapayaOne and Milanoo, both with over 90% increase in traffic reach. Big players like DHgate and Lightinthebox have also seen an increase of 50% and 35% respectively.

Not every wholesaler is going up and LinkChina and HongKong based UXcell have suffered a loss of 9% and 17.4% in traffic reach during the summer.

The reliability of the sources is not 100% so this data should be taken with a grain of salt. In the case some wholesalers would like to share an snapshot of their internal tracking data, we could see by how far we missed the shot :)
